Why is Form beautiful? Because, I think, it helps us confront our worst fear, the suspicion that life may be chaos and that therefore our suffering is without meaning. – Robert Adams from Beauty in Photography

it’s my party!

Today is my birthday (!!!)  so I thought I’d scan and share two photographs that mean a lot to me. The first is my very first self-portrait done my freshmen year in Photo 101. The second was taken during my first trip to NYC back in 2007. Tipsy from the perfect Sunday brunch, me and my two best friends wandered into the Guggenheim then afterwards exhausted,  went to Central Park where we napped under a tree. I snapped this photograph, shut my eyes and remember thinking.. life could not be more beautiful.

Self-Portrait, Tempe, AZ 2006

In the Park, New York City 2007

own side now

In a week I am lonely

I wish I had some one to talk with.

In two weeks

I talk with myself.

In three weeks

I see things differently.
